Stop-Motion Animation as a PBL Experience

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Stop-motion has plentiful cross-curricular applications, from science to language arts, math to art-making, which makes it perfect for a project-based learning experience. Participants will receive information outlining the basics of making and teaching stop-motion animation:  recommended tools, tips, and appropriate materials/topics for different age-groups. All of these possibilities will be discussed and demonstrated. Participants will have a chance to explore stations, each with a different stop-motion scenario, so they can make videos and gain experience to build confidence for implementing in the classroom. They will also leave with links to print and video resources to get them started.
